1. Driver Eligibility
To rent a vehicle from Easy Rent, the main driver must be at least 21 years old and hold an original driving licence that is valid in Albania, written in Latin characters, and valid for the rented vehicle category for at least 1 year. Easy Rent may refuse or terminate the rental if a driver’s licence is expired, suspended, revoked, or otherwise invalid during the rental period.
- A valid passport or national ID must be presented as proof of identity and age.
- If the driving licence is issued in a language other than Albanian or English, Easy Rent may require an official translation at pickup.
- For company rentals, Easy Rent may require incorporation documents, an authorized driver who meets the same driver requirements, and company authorization for the rental.
2. Additional Drivers
Only the renter and any additional driver approved by Easy Rent may drive the vehicle. Every additional driver must meet the same eligibility requirements as the main driver and must be listed in the rental documents.
- An additional driver fee may apply.
- Drivers not registered in the rental agreement are not permitted to use the vehicle.
- The vehicle may not be subleased, loaned, or handed over to unauthorized third parties.
3. What You Must Bring at Pickup
At pickup, the renter must appear with the required identification, valid driving licence, and any other supporting documents requested during booking or confirmation. The renter must also sign the Face Page and confirm acceptance of the rental terms before taking possession of the vehicle.
- Easy Rent’s regular operating hours are 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- After-hours pickup or return may be available only on request and may incur an additional charge.
- A joint vehicle inspection is completed at pickup and return, and the renter is expected to review and sign the damage and condition record.
4. Payment, Prepayment, and Deposit
Easy Rent may require a prepayment of 20% to 30% of the total rental cost to secure the reservation, depending on the booking conditions. The remaining balance and any applicable charges must be settled according to the rental agreement.
- A security deposit of 300 to 500 euros may be required depending on the vehicle category and size.
- The exact deposit amount is communicated before the rental begins.
- The deposit may be used to cover vehicle damage, missing equipment, additional charges, or contract breaches.
- If charges exceed the deposit amount, Easy Rent may recover the remaining balance through the payment method or card authorization on file.
5. Payment Methods and Card Authorization
Easy Rent accepts major credit or debit cards and may also accept cash, subject to the booking and rental terms. When a payment card is used, Easy Rent may place an authorization hold to secure possible extra charges, rental extensions, or damages arising during the rental period.
- The renter is responsible for the remaining rental balance at pickup or return, as applicable.
- Additional charges may also be charged directly to the payment method on file when permitted by the rental agreement.
- If the renter disputes a charge, the claim should be raised with Easy Rent promptly and supported with relevant documentation.
6. Return Requirements
The vehicle must be returned on the agreed date, time, and location stated in the rental documents. Easy Rent may allow a short grace period of up to 30 minutes, but returns after that may result in late fees.
- Early returns are subject to Easy Rent’s discretion and do not automatically create a refund for unused rental time.
- The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level recorded at pickup, unless a prepaid fuel option was arranged.
- If the vehicle is returned with less fuel than recorded at pickup, refueling and administrative charges may apply.
7. Vehicle Use Restrictions
The vehicle must be used carefully, lawfully, and only within the limits communicated by Easy Rent. The renter remains responsible for all use of the vehicle during the rental period.
- Off-road driving, racing, and other use beyond the vehicle’s intended capabilities are prohibited.
- The vehicle may not be used for taxi, delivery, or other unauthorized commercial activity.
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited.
- Smoking in the vehicle is prohibited and may result in cleaning charges.
- Cross-border travel is prohibited unless Easy Rent gives prior written approval.
- The renter is responsible for traffic fines, parking tickets, tolls, towing fees, and similar costs incurred during the rental period.
8. Damage, Missing Equipment, and Personal Property
The renter is responsible for damage, missing items, or equipment losses not documented during the initial inspection, except where the renter can prove that the issue existed before pickup. Costs may be deducted from the deposit or charged separately.
- Any accident, theft, damage, or material issue involving the vehicle should be reported to Easy Rent without delay.
- Easy Rent will inspect the vehicle on return and determine whether deductions or further charges are required under the rental terms.
- Personal belongings left in the vehicle should be reported immediately. Easy Rent may assist with recovery but does not guarantee retrieval.
